Technology moves quickly. And if you wanna be successful in your IT career, you gotta have a passion for learning new skills. Certain subjects continue to be of the same nature and are considered valid for ages. But, since change in technology is exponential, knowledge gained is likely to become outdated within a few years.

So, to thrive in the intriguing tech world today, one needs to evolve with technology. Be forthcoming and volunteer for new assignments that would give you an opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills. Managers are always on the lookout for people who can evaluate latest technologies or do some testing on the new applications. So it is very important to have a broad knowledge base.

Upgrading current skills and possessing additional skills go a long way in opening new avenues for IT professionals. That’s where training and certification play major roles. Training helps you stay current and reaps innumerable professional and financial benefits. Certification confirms your skills and knowledge, and brings industry-wide recognition. And being recognized for your expertise, within your company or the broader industry, greatly helps to elevate your career.

So if you are already an MCSE, do not give much thought and upgrade your skills to MCITP level. Be a go getter!
