Microsoft battle cry to take on the Cloud with new Microsoft Training and Certification program in 2015

Microsoft has been putting a lot of focus off lately on the Cloud technology. With the arrival of new Azure, Office 365 and now with the release of Office 2016 (added new functionalities to it’s cloud-based Office 365 service & also added few new features to the core desktop applications) it is pretty much what they have done and even planning to do in future.

They want to take things further into the Cloud starting from operating systems to higher-level services such as collaboration, messaging and telephony that are available now as SaaS – Software as a Service. Now, Microsoft wants to take a step further with recently announced MCSA training and MCSA Office 365 certification. MCSA office 365 validates IT professionals’ commitment to the cloud technologies in office platform further the training and certification supports the same.

Being one of the Core Microsoft certifications – the MCSA Office 365 for enterprise put emphasis on Microsoft cloud technologies and offers an alternative path rather a shortened one to MCSA certification with only two exams:

  • Exam 70–346: Managing office 365 Identities and Services and
  • Exam 70–347: Enabling Office 365 Services

Microsoft to embed this new Cloud-focused MCSA has stacked MCSA Office 365 certification into their core IT infrastructure certification rather than making it a stand-alone certification which now leads to higher-level certification namely – MCSE Communication, MCSE Messaging and MCSE SharePoint.

MCSA: Office 365 Exams

  • Exam 70 – 346: Managing Office 365 Identities and Services
  • Exam 70 – 347: Enabling Office 365 Services

MCSA: Office 365 is a Pre-requisite for:

  • MCSE: Communication
  • MCSE: Messaging
  • MCSE: SharePoint

Unlike other companies, Microsoft is dedicated to a path that supports both traditional on-premise enterprise software and its equivalent cloud service. With Satya Nadella appointed as new CEO with the background of having risen from the Microsoft ranks as the head of the Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise group, Microsoft is expected to speed-up this endeavor of going Cloud more quickly. It comes as no surprise that IT services delivered through ‘cloud’ is way lot easier to deploy and manage.

The training and certification for Microsoft Cloud technologies is also on all time high. It is definitely and interesting consideration for IT professional supporting Microsoft environments and aspirants.
